    Grab a friend, sharpen your dice skills, and prepare for a day of epic battles, gorgeous armies, and unforgettable hobby moments — it’s time for Slobberknocker 2025, our legendary Warhammer 40K Doubles tournament!

    This event is all about fun, sportsmanship, and chaos in the best possible way — expect wild matchups, cinematic moments, and maybe just a bit of banter between teammates.

    Event Details

    • Date: Saturday 15th November 2025.
    • Venue: Loreburn Hall, Dumfries.
    • Cost: £30 per team (that’s just £15 each!).
    • Capacity: Limited spaces — this event always sells out fast.
    • Tickets: Available now — Buy from The Hobby Shop.

    Rules & Format

    • 2000 points per team — 1000 points per player.
    • Each team must use two different codexes.
    • No double Space Marines — we love the Emperor, but variety is the spice of life.
    • Missions and scoring will follow the current Warhammer 40K Matched Play rules.
    • Painted armies strongly encouraged — there are prizes for presentation as well as play!

    Prizes & Awards

    We like to reward excellence in all forms — expect prizes for:

    • Event Winners – For the team that conquers all before them.
    • Best Army – For the most beautifully painted and presented force.
    • Best Sports – For the team that embodies the spirit of friendly competition.
    • Participation Prizes – Because sometimes the dice gods just deserve recognition.

    The Doonhamer Open is a community focussed event created by Reaper Wargaming, Saltire Games and Dumfries Gamers,20th/21st September

    This is a 5 round Warhammer 40k event with top cut.

    Limited Edition tickets purchases come with a wide variety of merch including coins, tokens and more

    All tickets are inclusive of a £5 booking/admin fee.

    Refund Policy

    All sales are final, tickets to this event are NON REFUNDABLE. (with the exception of specific circumstances e.g. event cancellation please note there is a £5 admin fee included in the price)

    However If you are unable to attend the Doonhamer Open we will have a ticket buy back system in place closer to the time of the event.

    This will come with administration fee of £10

    Finally we reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who is deemed to be at risk of causing harm to the event its staff or attendees anyone refused entry or asked to leave the event will not receive any form of refund.
