DESCRIPTION:The Brushoffs – Where the Brushes Come Out to Play \nThe Brushoffs is Dumfries Gamers’ annual painting throwdown – a celebration of creativity\, colour\, and pure hobby joy. Whether you’re a competition veteran or just proud of finally finishing that first model\, this is your moment to shine. \nRunning alongside our Age of Sigmar and Old World tournaments in December\, The Brushoffs is also about giving back—this year all proceeds go to MacMillan Cancer Support. Paint something epic\, show it off\, and help make a real difference. \n \nAnd yes… there will be seriously cool trophies and prizes up for grabs. We don’t hand these out lightly—you’ll have to earn them. The bragging rights? Even better. \n\nCategories for 2025\n\nSingle Miniature (GW or non-GW) – One hero\, one villain\, one masterpiece.\nUnit or Team – 3+ models painted and ready to rumble.\nVehicle or Monster – Tanks\, dragons\, stompy mechs… go big or go home.\nWildcard – Dioramas\, conversions\, terrain\, crazy ideas… if it wows\, it works.\nNon-GW Single Model – Give some love to the other brilliant ranges out there.\n\nHow the Day Rolls\nVenue: Loreburn Hall\, Dumfries\nDate: Saturday 13th December 2025 \n\n09:00 – 10:00 – Drop off your entries\, strut about looking smug.\n10:00 – 12:30 – First tournament rounds kick off; paint entries on full display.\n12:30 – 13:30 – Lunch break + People’s Choice voting (a.k.a. campaigning for your entry).\n13:30 – 17:00 – More gaming carnage while the paint show keeps turning heads.\n17:00 – 17:30 – Judging\, tallying votes\, possibly bribing the judges (just kidding… mostly).\n17:30 – 18:00 – Prize giving\, winner announcements\, charity total reveal.\n\nAll timings are subject to change—like all good battles\, expect a twist or two. \nAll entries are £10 per entry.
