On Friday 15th August 2025, the club hosted our Battle of the I.P.’s event, where different Magic: The Gathering decks based on famous intellectual properties went head-to-head.
It was a fantastic evening full of close games, plenty of table talk, and a great mix of new and familiar faces.
We are delighted to congratulate our winners:
- 1st Place – Sam with Doctor Who – Timey-Wimey
- 2nd Place – Reece with Lord of the Rings – Riders of Rohan
- 3rd Place – Helen with Lord of the Rings – Frodo & Sam
With results like these, it is now officially confirmed (at least in our club!) that Doctor Who is the greatest intellectual property of all time. It was especially enjoyable to see some players trying Magic for the very first time, alongside others rediscovering the game after a long break.
A big thank you goes to Craig for organising the event and patiently steering the action at what was affectionately known as the “kids’ table.”
